No. Upscale is 100% client-side — your image is enlarged entirely in your browser by a WebAssembly super-resolution model. The original photo and the upscaled result never leave your device.

Yes. The AI model downloads on first use and is then cached, so once it has loaded once you can upscale images with no internet connection. Install Upscale as a PWA and it opens and runs offline.
